More and More Users Prefer Mobile Apps

Have you ever tried to count the number of apps existing in the market? Have you ever questioned yourself how many new apps appear available per day? To tell the truth, the numbers are even more than impressive. Any eager to download the app for Android will face 250,000+ solutions. What concerns iPhone, this number is about 120,000 higher.
Demand creates supply and in this sphere as well. If the number of apps is so great and is even increasing than there are users willing to download them. For instance, according to recent statistics, Android users prefer apps to browsing! Nielsen's Smartphone Analytics, dealing with data collected from on-device meters on Apple iPhones and Android smartphones, found users spend almost an hour a day in mobile Internet. But 67 percent of that time, users get information, chat or update their Facebook pages via mobile app development - https://jatapp.com/services/mobile-app-development/ from Android Market, while just 33 percent are browsing to a web site. That means that apps are gaining more and more popularity and for sure will stand ground in the oncoming future.
This can as well be stressed by the fact that Apple regularly draws up its results releasing the lists of most popular free and paid apps. Thus, the most popular free apps of all time included Facebook, Pandora, Shazam, Movies by Flixster, and Bump. That concerns free of charge apps. In terms of paid apps the winners of all time were Doodle Jump, Tap Tap Revenge 3, Pocket God, Angry Birds, and Tap Tap Revenge 2.6. The top free apps for Android were Pandora, Facebook, Kindle, Google Maps, and YouTube. The top paid apps on the Android Market were Swiftkey X, PowerAmp Full Version, Fruit Ninja, Beatiful Widgets, and Cut the Rope. It’s up to users to decide which apps will gain priority in future.
The never-ending apps popularity certainly creates for application developer - https://jatapp.com/services/application-development/ - and advertisers the field to apply their abilities and talents. With the lists of most popular apps users’ demands are more or less clear and this creates the possibility to focus on apps which have the potential to take the leading part.

Froyo Dominates Among other Android OS

The Android Market has analyzed the latest tendencies, downloads and purchases and has introduced the fresh statistics on the distribution ratio of various versions of Android operating systems in the market.

The analysis of the last two weeks shows that Android (Froyo) is the second to none leader among the platforms for smartphones and tablets: it powers 61.3% of devices.

Ironically, the latest platforms have the lowest popularity: Android (Gingerbread) only powers 1% of devices and Android (Honeycomb) has 0.2% of the market in software companies - https://jatapp.com/. As low as their shares are, it’s most likely the fault of local providers who are still incapable of providing timely updates. Perhaps, the situation will get better once the update mechanism will be arranged for customers.

Speaking of other platforms, Android (Éclair) enjoys the whole 29.0% of the market share, while the Donut, Android 1.6, only has 4.8% of devices powered and the Cupcake, Android 1.5, covers 3.0% of smart gadgets.

The remaining platform, Android (early Gingerbread), powers as many as 0.7% of devices only, but that is due to a rapid operating system evolution and upgrade.

As we can see, being highly in demand, Android development is going very quickly, and pretty much any released platform is soon replaced by a newer one, so basically, each future version of Android will have a decreasing ratio in the market.

Toshiba Powers the Tablet with Android Honeycomb

Toshiba Corporation has officially announced the upcoming release of the Toshiba Tablet (as simple as that) and has set up a teaser website with a full 360° technical review.

The tablet will be powered by the latest tablet platform – Android Honeycomb, and will boast a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen. The device features resolution and video enhancement technology from Jatapp. The Tegra NVIDIA video processor allows users to have both HD and ordinary resolution video qualify for any needs you might have.

The Toshiba Tablet will be equipped with a 2-megapixel front camera, a 5-megapixel camera in the back, stereo speakers, USB/miniUSB/HDMI ports, a flash-supporting web-browser and a powerful accumulator.

The tablet introduces the latest Toshiba technology of text input – Swype. It implies a facilitated symbol input with just one finger.

The display, however, will have a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is a little bit non-standard, but as smart as it will be, it will determine the amount of light outside and indoors and will adjust color and brightness balance on its own.

Android developers have brought in the Android quick-key buttons to the tablet, and so it seems to be impossible to improve.
