The Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks is the responsible international system for facilitating the registration of trademarks worldwide. The application can be filed through a trademark office or online. There are approximately 94 countries that are parties to the Madrid Protocol and thus an International Trademark Registration  can be afforded protection in them.
